Fluoroelastomers (FKM) and Perfluorelastomers (FFKM)
FKM and FFKM products differ in fluorine content and curing methods, making it possible to tailor varying combinations of heat and chemical resistance. Both product families are easily processed using injection and compression molding.
fluoroelastomers consist of copolymers and terpolymers with a fluorine content of 66% and 68-70% respectively. They are available as base polymers (gumstock) or products formulated with ionic or peroxide curable systems.
